Something new is just around the corner. We're coming back stronger than ever, you'll see...

April 19, 2009
Never seen us live? Ever wondered what we're like backstage? Wanna peep behind the scenes? Let us introduce...Lame Duck TV on YouTube. That's a channel where you can view live videos, behind-the-scenes material and whatever footage we dare to post (don't worry, we have no dignity). We'll be adding new videos every now and then, so make sure to check that page frequently.

Hey, we're honored to be featured on another great compilation. Again, we're in a good company with the release containing songs from acts like The Copyrights, The Fake Boys and mr. Joey Cape. For some reason, this time there's not one but two Lame Duck songs on the compilation. It's probably 'cause we suck so bad that they wanted to give us two chances. Anyway, you can download over 30 great songs for absolutely nothing: here.

Disasters! vol. 1 compilation is out now! Why should you care? First of all, it contains songs from some of the most exciting independent rock bands from all over Europe. Second, some of the best bands in the entire world, courtesy of Fat Wreck Chords, are featured on the compilation (Dillinger Four, Lagwagon and No Use For a Name to name a few). Last and least, for some reason our brand new song "Déjà Vu" is also part of that record (see the whole track listing here). This compilation is freely distributed at gigs across Europe, and we will get a limited amount of copies too. So, if you're lucky enough you may also get your hands on this one. However, as the reason for this compilation is to promote independent music you can naturally also download it for free. Click this link to download Disasters! Vol.1 and check out the other great DIY releases on there too. The songs from these rich Fat Wreck mother fuckers are not available on the downloadable version of the compilation, but you can download those featured songs on Fat Wreck Chords home page. You will find many more awesome bands on that page too, so it's worth a visit. If you don't have the patience to download the entire compilation, Déjà Vu is also availabale on our MySpace profile. Another thing, we played a fun show last weekend and there were cameras witnessing every moment. Look for some videos floating around the Internet soon...

Next Tuesday we'll be playing on a live webcast at around 6 pm (Finnish time). You should be able to view the show by clicking the link on the left (when the time is right). You will probably need the Real Media player for that. The show will be interactive, and if you want to participate just add the following address to your IM (MSN messenger or whatever you use) contacts: lameduckmusic@hotmail.com. I have no idea what's going to happen but you sure don't want to miss this! Other news: We have spent this week in a studio recording some new shit. No release date or anything yet, just wanted to let you know that we're alive and well.

Shit, it's been a while since last update...again. Not much have happened but now I have a few things. First of all, today Voice TV started a music video contest or something and Antihero is on there too. I know it's an old video and I have no idea what we are competing for, but go to Voice.fi and vote for us if you wish. Also, a new digital music store called Equal Dreams has recently been opened. You can download some of our songs for a small amount of money from there. Of course, you can download all our songs for free from these pages but there's a catch: all the profits we get from Equal Dreams will go directly to Amnesty International. So if you want to donate some nickels for a good cause and download some quality shit at the same time, do it there. And tell all your friends to do that too or otherwise I'll come and take all your money and spend it on booze. Anyway, we're now writing new songs and playing some shows every now and then, so see you around. Until next time...

This week, DINA will air re-runs of all three shows every single day at 10 a.m, 4 p.m and 9 p.m. So check them out here or on Welho cable network. Also, don't miss our special X-mas show at Semifinal this thursday.

See Lame Duck fucking up live on cable TV! That's right, we'll be making an appearance as a house band and musical guest on DINA in three evenings in a row. The show will be broadcast LIVE this wednesday through friday at 7 p.m. If you live in the capital region of Finland and have the Welho cable you can watch it directly on your TV. Alternatively, you can view the show on the Internet at Dina.tv. We're also gonna film some "behind the scenes" material and if it doesn't suck too bad or get censored we'll post some footage on this site. So, if you have never seen us play and fuck up live (the combination we always deliver), this is your chance!

Garage Sale compilation is out now! It features our songs Tonight, Rolling With The Punches and Antihero plus a bunch of previously unreleased songs (and a few older ones) by Blossom Hill, King Star and The Re-Tards. It's a limited edition so if you want your copy, be fast! You can purchase it by mailing to lameduck[at]thelameduck.net or just knockin on my door if you know where I live. No, I don't have enough stalkers yet. The price is negotiable and ridiculously low anyway. 4 euros plus a possible postal fee will get you twelve great songs and hours of painfully pleasurable sexual enjoyment...not that I know. So anyway, check that out. You don't want to miss it.

What's up fuckers?! We just finished recording two new songs and thought some of you might want to hear them too. To do our share in preserving the Compact Disc forests we decided to publish this single in a digital form only. So there will be no physical copies of this one. Of course you can always print out the cover, burn the songs onto a CD and sell that to your slow neighbor, but in that case we want 20 percent. Anyway...The single is called Tonight We're Rolling With The Punches (guess what the songs are called?) and it's available for free download here. You can treat them as one song or two individual songs or whatever but always remember to play them both in a row...because I say so! Also, these songs are going to be featured on a compilation called Garage Sale along with songs by other great bands (No, that doesn't mean I think we're a great band) King Star, Blossom Hill and The Re-Tards. It'll be released this fall so check that out. Until then...

Summer is almost on its way again!:D So, this one's for Tomek and everyone else who's been putting pressure on me. We're not dead, just dead lazy. I promised myself I would update this news section on my birthday. Unlike so many times before, I'm not gonna lie to myself this time. So happy birthday to me! And so that I wouldn't be the only one getting presents I uploaded the rest of the songs on Chaos Theory to the media page. So the whole record is now available for download here. What else...? At the moment We're writing and rehearsing new songs and at least one interesting project is under way. More about that and everything else when I have some real news. I guess I'm done for now, I promise to keep you posted more often from now on. See you at the shows!
