ABOUT THE BAND
Lame Duck's a rock band from Espoo, Finland. Our music is mostly influenced by 70's, 80's & 90's punk rock but we don't really want to be strictly categorized. We just play energetic & melodic rock 'n' roll songs with punk attitude and that's it. But as far as we're concerned, you can call our music whatever the hell you want. So far, we've made two EPs; Bad Hair Life (October 2004) and Chaos Theory (January 2006). They both contain five songs plus bonus tracks and on Chaos Theory there's also a music video which is available here on our website too. We've played a few dozen live shows so far and at this point it's time to play tons more and have tons of fun. We look forward to seeing you at our shows. So, keep supporting punk rock and remember: Don't fuck with the Duck!
LAME HISTORY
For many years Lame Duck was just one of Antti's wet dreams until in the fall of 2003, while surfing the Internet (looking for sick porn, of course), he got an idea: It's time to make my dream come true! He found this site where burnout musicians are looking for other untalented musicians or bands to join. Well, actually he was harassing teenage girls in some chat room and was kicked out, but hey, these things happen to all of us every now and then, right? Anyway, Antti went on posting a drummer & bassist wanted- ad and only a few hours later he got an e-mail from Mika, who was actually ordering a penis pump but just accidentally sent his mail to Antti. Coincidentally, Mika was also a punk ass musician and had thoughts of forming a new band. At the time he was (and still is) playing drums in a band called The Re-Tards, which was going to take a break. Antti thought it was a great chance to get a pro drummer in his band but no, Mika (goddamn asshole) had other plans. This time he wanted to grab a bass and leave the drum seat to someone else. "Fine", said Antti, "as long as you know how to play bass and get us a drummer". And Mika did. Well, at least he knows what a bass looks like...And the drum seat was taken by Mika's friend, Pete. He's not only a hell of a drummer but also a multi-talented hiphoppunkpopraprockheavymetalsingersongwriterproducerfreak. In other words, a perfect addition to this insane group. In January 2004 Antti moved from Helsinki to Espoo (for lower taxes, even though he will hardly ever make any money) where Pete and Mika already lived. So, everything was ready for the rising of Lame Duck and although Antti was a nervous wreck, he knew this would be his only opportunity to look cooler than he really is. So, he took a chance and it paid off. Lame Duck is now rocking hard & fast and we're looking forward to seeing you guys (preferably girls) at our shows. So, that's the story so far... Now get the fuck out of here!
